Director

Professional percussionist with more than 30 years of experience, graduate in Jazz and modern music with extensive research and dissemination of Afro-Brazilian culture and percussion, director and creator of the acclaimed documentary "Diáspora, da cultura percusiva da Bahía” and Endorser of the Brazilian brand of instruments "Timbra top percussion" which he has represented internationally since 2018.

In addition to his facet as an educator leading educational projects through percussion, currently and from the early age of 14 he has been working as a professional musician active in different musical formations and as a session musician, director and founder of the “Ondarattack” block since 2010 in Ondara, Alicante. Albert Llobell has directed and organized different projects such as “JAZZDARA. Ondara Jazz Festival", in its four editions (2015/2018), as well as more than twenty workshops and seminars on Afro-Brazilian music throughout the national scene from 2018 to today within its research and dissemination project " Diaspora", in collaboration with the main protagonists of the music scene in Salvador de Bahía with whom he maintains a close relationship of friendship and respect.

For four years he traveled to Salvador intermittently to learn first-hand all the history that surrounds the phenomenon of the Afro blocos, an experience that served as the basis for his final degree project at the Joaquín Rodrígo Superior Conservatory of Music. ” from Valencia, with which he obtained the highest rating from the jury, work that led to the production of the investigative documentary feature film on the history of the emergence of the Afro blocos and the subsequent creation of the largest Samba Reggae that exists to date in day.
